Is selling my gun online legal?

Yes, as long as you sell it to a licensed FFL dealer such as ourselves.

How fast will I get paid?

We pay within 48 hours of receiving your firearm. PayPal payments are instant, but checks can take 2-7 business days depending on how close you live to Alabama.

Do you pay extra for accessories?

Absolutely! Just make sure you upload pictures of your accessories as well and let us know in the comment box which ones you will include with the gun and which ones you will keep.

Can I track my shipment?

All of our prepaid labels come with tracking. Once it arrives at our store, you will be paid within 48 hours. You may call us or email us at any time during this process if you have questions. Just click on the “Contact” link at the top of the page.

What do you do with the guns?

We clean them, repair them (if necessary), and resell them to responsible gun owners who pass a background check.

How do I know I can trust you?

Google us! Our firearms appraisers own and operate Gold, Guns, and Guitars with locations in Florence, AL and Huntsville, AL. We can also provide a copy of our Federal Firearms License upon request. Also, feel free to call us and ask to speak to our appraiser (Josh Dodd) yourself.

Can I sell a firearm for someone else?

No, you must be the legal owner of the firearm. You may sell us a firearm you inherited as long as you legally own it.

How long is my offer good for?

Guns must be shipped to us within 21 business days from the day we first quote the firearm.

How do I ship my gun to you?

We will email you your shipping label and instructions and you can pack the firearm for shipping via USPS. If you are shipping a rifle, and you don’t have access to a box, we will also send you a box, packing materials, prepaid shipping label, and instructions upon request.

Is there any paperwork involved in me selling you this gun?

None other than what we collect when you email us for a quote. We will have to verify your identity though before purchasing your gun.

What if I can’t find my serial number?

Call us and we can help you find it. If the gun does not have a serial number or it has been scratched off, we cannot purchase the firearm.

Do you buy NFA items (class 3 weapons)?

Yes. We have a class 3 license and will buy NFA items. Please make sure you let us know in your comment box that it is a class 3 weapon as we have to ship it to our location that handles those.

What happens if you receive my gun and don’t like the condition?

We do our best to evaluate the gun thoroughly before making you an offer. However, if we receive the gun and it is not in working order, we will usually email or call you with a reduced offer that takes into account our repair cost. If you decline our offer, we will ask you to pay return shipping on your gun. If we return a gun, by law, it must be returned to a licensed FFL in your state where you will pick it up.
